Miguel Müller

Miguel Müller is originally from the southern part of Brazil. Growing up he watched a variety of European, American and Brazilian pictures, developing in him a strong taste for different kinds of approaches to filmmaking at an early age. Müller’s passion for the craft of writing led him to choose his college major in Journalism/Communication Studies. Soon after starting his academic life, he took some television courses and discovered a whole new world. The transition from television to film was just a matter of time and he quickly started writing and shooting experimental and fictional short films. In 2004, he received his first nomination at “Gramado Cine Video”, one of the biggest digital film festivals in all of Brazil.

After shooting short films in different genres and music videos, he briefly worked in advertising. In 2008, he created, wrote and directed a sitcom for a major network in his home state. In 2009, he decided to move to Los Angeles to expand his career as a filmmaker. Having taken classes at UCLA in writing, cinematography, producing and directing, Miguel wrote and directed Yolanda, which was selected for the “Short Film Corner” at the Cannes Film Festival 2011. His interests in filmmaking are an eclectic range of genres, from horror all the way to comedy! At the moment Müller resides in Westwood, California and is developing his first feature film.

Peter Paul Basler

Peter Paul Basler is a Swiss-American director and producer who has been practicing the art of filmmaking since his start in the mid-nineties on Anjelica Huston’s Bastard out of Carolina. Basler grew up on the east coast where his early films would go on to become darlings of the festival circuit and announce him as a filmmaker of note. Today, his films have played both domestically and internationally earning him awards as both a director and producer.

Basler teamed with Sundance Jury Prize Winner Matthew Harrison (Rhythm Thief) to produce the critical hit Big Heart City, starring Oscar nominee Seymour Cassel and Shawn Andrews (Dazed & Confused). The film was shepherded by Dennis Hopper through the selection process at CineVegas and made a splash at the 2008 Los Angeles Film festival. Emmy nominee Gregory Itzin (TV’s 24) and Ken Davitian (Borat) headlined Peter’s next producing effort, the award winning romantic comedy feature Float. He also worked with A-list writer James Gunn (Dawn of the Dead, Scooby Doo) on Gunn’s latest web series for well known- producer Peter Safran (Disaster Movie, Meet The Spartans, and Scary Movie).

Peter’s most recent directing efforts include Spotlight starring Joe Lando and Eve Mauro, Ivan’s House starring John Heard and Josh Zuckerman, and The Vortex starring Jack Plotnick, Sarah Lieving and Ted Jonas. Basler currently resides in Burbank, California.
